Who We Are
Global Physio Training (GPT) is a U.S.-based nonprofit offering affordable, high-quality continuing education to healthcare providers in underserved regions. Founded by three passionate physical therapists, GPT is transforming access to knowledge in Africa, Latin America, and beyond.

Educational Advancements
In 2025, our programs have led to significant improvements in learning outcomes, specifically enhancing critical thinking and problem-solving skills among local healthcare professionals.
Key Results for 2025:
- Providers Trained: More than 90 providers received specialized training.
- Patient Reach: Over 3,000 patients were served across both Appalachia and Cameroon through the providers trained.
- Educational Outreach: We delivered 15 or more seminars and webinars, broadening the reach of evidence-based practice.
Enhancing Clinical Capacity Across Cameroon
Dissemination of Equipment to Multiple Sites
For his first Year, our organization has successfully supported 10 of our dedicated trainees in Cameroon by providing essential resources for their professional development. We facilitated the donation of over $3,000 worth of specialized electrotherapy and clinical equipment to support their practices across three major cities: Douala, Yaoundé, and Maroua. To date, this dispersed equipment has directly benefited over 500 patients, significantly enhancing the quality and reach of clinical care provided by our trainees.
Cost Efficiency and Value Proposition
We achieve significant cost savings, delivering comprehensive training at approximately $400 USD per provider. This is dramatically lower than comparable courses in the U.S., which are typically priced between $1,000 and $1,500 for U.S. residents.
Crucially, this training is provided at little-to-no cost for local participants. By offering in-person, face-to-face instruction locally—including covering instructor international travel—we eliminate the need for participants to fly to the U.S. or Europe, which would otherwise incur costs estimated to be ten times higher than our per-provider rate. This ensures accessibility and maximizes the impact of our educational investment.
Strategic Multiplier Effect
A foundational element of our strategy is the multiplier effect of focused training. A single investment in training a provider translates into long-term community benefits, as each professional is expected to treat thousands (1,000s) or even tens of thousands (10,000s) of patients throughout their career, creating a sustainable and exponential patient impact.
Defined Geographic Reach and Target Populations
We have strategically identified populations in need across multiple global regions, including the United States (U.S.), Africa (with a concentrated emphasis on Cameroon as pilot), Latin America, and Malaysia.
